Siri S. Eide is a Norwegian composer with a unique background. From a young age, she learned several instruments, and played the violin in multiple youth orchestras, while as an adult, she studied physics and applied mathematics at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, and even holds a PhD in Engineering Science. Siri brings an analytical approach into her composition process, while not shying away from more emotive musical material. As such, Siri composes in a contemporary style, with a curiosity towards electroacoustics and video, and often finds herself in a landscape that stretches from cold and calculated, to the more sentimental and dramatic.
Siri is currently enrolled at the Norwegian Academy of Music.
